SAFE STREETS D.C.

PAY ATTENTION. SAVE A LIFE.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Every year, more than 6000 people are killed by drivers. More pedestrians were killed by drivers in Washington D.C. this year than any of the past 6 years. Safe Streets D.C. is dedicated to supporting Vision Zero, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser's plan to eliminate pedestrian fatalities in the city by 2024. We committed to making the streets of D.C. a safer place for all its citizens.

We stand by the simple mantra: Pay Attention, Save A Life. Our goal to spread awareness about an issue that often goes overlooked, and to impress upon drivers that it is their responsibility to be aware of their surroundings, slow down when turning, and respect pedestrians. Join us, and make your city a safer place.
